Just realised I should add something about the xtiff packages.
I included the libtiff.a library because if somebody wants
to recompile xtiff, you will need it.  You do not have to have
the library to run the program.  As I said before, libtiff.a
was a bear to compile, and I wouldn't want any one to tax their
machine like I did.
